🔶 Walk Cancelled: 25 Apr 2020 🔶

In light of the new safe distancing measures announced by the government on 24 March 2020, we will be canceling our walk on 25 April to prevent the gathering of a large group of participants and guides.

We hope to see you in the future, when the situation improves.

15 Mar: A warm and toasty walk at Chek Jawa Wetlands

Today's walk at Chek Jawa Wetlands was so lovely!

The skies were really blue and the weather was nice and warm.

We usually have 60 to 80 visitors during our walks but we reduced the number of slots for this walk.

Our 20 visitors saw carpet anemones, noble volute, horseshoe crabs, white-rumped shama, kingfishers, swimming crabs and fiddler crabs.

Thanks to our guides, Ley Kun, Ria, Che Cheng, Xiang Tian and Wei Yuan!

15 Mar (Sun): Fun under the sun at Chek Jawa during the March School Holidays

Join us at our Chek Jawa Boardwalk outing on 15 March, Sunday. This is a very special and beautiful corner of Singapore mangroves, and the best way is to explore this place is with a nature guide. Our walks are designed for small groups of young families and friends. Best of all, this nature walk is free! Register on Eventbrite here.

Chek Jawa is rich in biodiversity, and with the help of our volunteer guides, you should be able to see lots of interesting plants and wildlife. Even though we are not going on to the shore, there is still much to see and enjoy. There are monitor lizards, fiddler crabs, tree-climbing crabs, spiders, rare plants, wild boar, mudskippers and lots of fruit trees. If we are lucky, we might even spot the Oriental Pied Hornbill, White-bellied Sea Eagle and the giant Atlas Moth.

Date: 15 March 2020 (Sunday)
Meeting place: Chek Jawa Information Kiosk, Pulau Ubin
Meeting time: 9:30 am
Duration of walk: 2 hours
Fees: No charge for now, but small donations are accepted
